The Heritage Bridge in Old Salem, NC is absolutely beautiful. The repetitive pattern of the beams makes for a striking sight as you prepare to cross from the visitor's center into the historic district.
On this sunny Saturday morning, as I wandered the streets of Old Salem with Jim and my cousin, Kyle, I carried just my camera - on my trusty R-strap - with my wide-angle lens. I hardly ever use it, so this was a bit of an experiment. Over the next few days, I'll share with you some of the images I captured that make me smile.
Shot with Nikon D200 and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Nikkor lens; 1/160s at f/3.5 and ISO 400 at 18mm.
